while in his enclosed hot tub room. He has described the female as looking up at a piece of
paper and looking up at the stars. It was originally reported that he did not know Karlie and
had never met her. Recently, that has changed. It is now reported that he was "familiar" with
Karlie Guse. Richard Eddy's home is marked with the red dot. He lived roughly five houses to
the south and across the street from the Guse home.
teacher and golf coach at Bishop Union High School though Karlie was never a student
in his classroom. Ken Dutton has stated that he was getting ready for a day hike when
he saw a female matching the description of Karlie walking by around 7 am. He also
stated that the female kept "looking back at him", though he made no effort to call out
or greet the female that walked by. It is presumed he was the first witness who gave a
general description of clothing the female was wearing. It is noteworthy that Ken Dutton
first called and spoke with Melissa Guse before calling law enforcement. It is also
significant that he called nearly 48 hours after Karlie's disappearance. His home is noted
with a red dot. Thought it is only 1/2 block away from Witness #1, evidently it took Karlie
30 min to travel that distance.
reported seeing a female standing behind a barbed wire
fence at Highway 6 & White Mtn Estates Rd at 7:30 am. It is
uncertain if Steve White is acquainted with the Guse family.
What is known is that the posted speed limit on Highway 6
is 65 mph. Law enforcement seems to be distancing
themselves from the witness #3 statement as it is now said
that the female was seen "walking towards" Highway 6
instead of "at" Highway 6.
