On December 9, 2018, American Crime Journal published an article called The Disappearance of Karen McGovern by Damion Moore. In the article, he wrote,
According to Missing, Unidentified, and Victims, Karen F McGovern has been missing for almost nine years. She does not fit the profile of a voluntary disappearance. Her husband reportedly isn’t cooperating with the investigation into her disappearance. McGovern’s relationship with her husband was troubled. She filed for divorce four times between 1992 and 2008. And he filed once. The couple had also filed multiple orders of protection against each other. Her husband has multiple criminal convictions. He was convicted for offenses including arson, domestic battery and violating a protective order. Authorities believe McGovern could have been the victim of a homicide. Her case remains unsolved. https://www.missingadultskids.com/find-missing-karen-f-mcg…/
On January 30, 2020, American Crime Journal shared a press release from the Marseilles Police Department in regard to an incident with a male presenting himself as a police officer. In the comment section, American Crime Journal wrote, “We did an article about a woman from Marseilles/Seneca that disappeared (state’s attorney and state police know it is the husband.) I’M CURRENTLY WORKING WITH THE MOTHER AND LASALLE COUNTY in bringing forth a full podcast or documentary on her.”
Below that, American Crime Journal posted a link to the December 9, 2018 article that Damion wrote about Karen McGovern.
On January 30, 2020, Damion Moore claimed to be working with the mother and LaSalle County. Coincidentally, the comment was made below a post about a male presenting himself to be a police officer while Damion Moore is presenting himself to be a journalist. Damion Moore is NOT a credentialed journalist. To become a journalist, you need a bachelor’s degree in either journalism or communications. This education is important, otherwise, you end up producing content like American Crime Journal.
American Crime Journal fabricated MISLEADING INFORMATION in regards to the case of Karlie Lain Guse. I have provided evidence of that in previous posts.
They have published misleading information about her biological mother, and victim shamed Karlie Lain Guse. I have provided evidence of that in previous posts.
They have obtained satisfaction and delight in sharing photos of hoax grave that Karlie’s biological mother was sent to dig with her bare hands. They copyrighted the photo and added the text, “after some light digging” to mock her grief. They continue their venomous acts for the thrill of causing disruption and sadness to other human beings.
Moore ‘Me Too’
In 2019 Damion Moore made rape analogies, made comments about female genitalia, called people less than human, called women little girls, bragged about women pleading for their children with tears in their eyes, bragged about retaliatory efforts filing false police reports on a woman for writing government agencies about the disappearance of Karlie Lain Guse. I have provided evidence of him saying those things in previous posts. I have the screenshots and would be happy to share them with law enforcement or investigators.
On January 28, 2020, Damion Moore stated, “This morning as I returned from an interview with a detective on [a] new case I was working,”
On January 30, 2020, Damion Moore claimed to be working with the mother of a missing person and LaSalle County. On December 14 -16, 2019, Travis Moore, Kammi Foote, and Jennifer Vanhuis were all in Chicago. Kammi Foote was there to speak about government ethics. Damion Moore posted they had some type of meeting with investigators.
Feigned Outrage, i.e. Virtue Signalling
In American Crime Journal’s December 9, 2018 article about the Disappearance of Karen McGovern,
Damion Moore said, “I’ve refused to associate with perpetrators and those who enable or support perpetrators of domestic violence.”
A year later Damion Moore is photographed walking with and admitted to attending a meeting with Travis Moore. American Crime Journal has written many articles praising
Travis is also a contributor to American Crime Journal’s, “Riddle Of The Roads” series about missing teen Karlie Guse. Travis Moore has a legally documented history of physical, emotional, and mental abuse of women. I have his entire criminal history in a folder. It is several inches thick. Two of Travis Moore’s victims have had to file restraining orders. One was granted as a permanent restraining order against him. These women described what he did to them when requesting the protection orders. One of the women had a child, the other was an ex-girlfriend. This man had no business searching for a missing, vulnerable, teenage girl. Nor should he have been given access to the family. On the following dates:
- January 6, 2001
- August 12, 2002
- December 15, 2005
Travis Moore’s victims described and documented the following incidents:
- physical violence
- not being able to physically leave
- Travis refusing to leave
- being FORCED, FACE DOWN ON THE BED, & THREATENED TO BE HURT FURTHER
- being pinned down
- emotional abuse
- threatened to take her child
- having false reports filed against them
- having false statements made against them
Damion Moore’s wife’s own adult kid had to file a restraining order against her. Later, in an unrelated incident, she was charged with Endangering the Life or Health of a Child and two counts of DUI. Source: http://www.wspynews.com/…/article_44b6886a-4113-11e9-91cc-5…
American Crime Journal stands with Kristy Ann Towry. She was convicted of felony corporal injury to a child.
American Crime Journal stands with and promotes those who have told families of the missing that their loved one died at a certain location and had no independently verifiable evidence to back it up.
American Crime Journal stands with and promotes those who have defrauded the FBI, taxpayers, and families of the missing.
American crime journal stands with those that would have Karlie Guse reduced to scat (animal fecal matter).
American Crime Journal stands with and DEFENDS those who STAYED SILENT while Marvin Titus abused little girls. A man described as a monster. A man, because other adults in the situation spoke up, is now sitting in prison. A jury found him guilty on eight counts of sex crimes involving victims under the age of 14.
If there is any truth to Damion Moore’s claims that he is working with the mother and LaSalle County, the mother and the County NEEDS TO BE WARNED. Damion Moore and his associates are inserting themselves into cases hoping for a true-crime platform. They need to stay away from families of the missing. A well-known case producer with Crime Watch Daily also has a documentary called Murder Mountain on Netflix. This individual has 20 years of experience with missing person cases and runs a nonprofit in California that advocates for families of missing, made the following statements:
